Day # 1, Sony PlayStation 3

The Sony PlayStation 3 (aka PS3) is the ultimate in home entertainment. It features such things as video chat, Internet access, digital photo viewing, and digital audio and video will likely make it the central component of your media set-up. The PS3 features IBM's "Cell" processor and a co-developed Nvidia graphics processor that makes the system able to perform two trillion calculations per second. It boasts an HDMI port, which delivers uncompressed, unconverted digital picture and sound to compatible high-definition TV and projectors. The system is capable of 128-bit pixel precision and 1080p resolution for a full HD experience. Sony's PlayStation 3 games are encoded onto the Blu-ray disc media format, which holds up to six times as much data as traditional DVDs. This increase in capacity combined with the awesome power of its processor and graphics card promises mind-blowing games once developers have learned how to fully harness the new console's power. Inside the controller uses Bluetooth 2.0 wireless technology and can support up to seven wireless controllers at a time. The PlayStation 3 will be backward compatible with PlayStation and PlayStation 2 games, which means you'll be able to play all your favorite games without keeping all the old systems. So go out a sell that old PlayStation, you’ll need it the money to pay for this one. The console will have slots for Memory Stick Duo, an SD slot and a Compact Flash memory slot. It comes with a pre-installed hard disc drive. The PS3 supports 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, 1000BASE-T Ethernet, as well as IEEE 802.11 b/g wireless networking protocols.
PS3 has similar online connectivity and services as the next generation of Xbox Live. Calling it "an always on, always connected device," The PS3 supports 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, 1000BASE-T Ethernet, as well as IEEE 802.11 b/g wireless networking protocols.
The PlayStation 3 is backward compatible with PlayStation and PlayStation 2 games. The console has slots for Memory Stick Duo, an SD slot and a Compact Flash memory slot. It comes with a pre-installed hard disc drive, which allows you to save games as well as download content from the Internet.
New gamers intuitively move the controller while playing, even though that movement has traditionally had no relation to what's going on in the game. Sony has picked up on this tendency and is using it to bring a new level of control into the PS3. Inside the controller is a high-precision six-axis sensing system that accurately detects fine movements in pitch, roll, and yaw, as well as three dimensions of movement, to control games. This means that future PS3 games will be controlled by the movements of your hands rather than just your thumbs. For example, you might be able to steer a car by holding the controller like a steering wheel. (I’ve seen this somewhere before?) Anyway, while the PS3 controller looks much like its Dual Shock predecessors, it will lack the force feedback vibration since that would only interfere with the sensing system. It uses Bluetooth 2.0 wireless technology and can support up to seven wireless controllers at a time. It's a hot swappable system, so if your controller is running low on power, just pause your game and connect a USB 2.0 cable. You can continue playing while your controller recharges automatically.

Sony's PlayStation 3 games are encoded onto the Blu-ray disc media format, which can hold six times as much data as traditional DVDs. This increase in capacity combined with the awesome power of its processor and graphics card promises mind blowing games once developers have learned how to fully harness the new console's power. The PS3 also support CD-ROM, CD-RW, DVD, DVD-ROM, DVD-R, DVD+R formats.
The only down side to the PS3, games are still few; PlayStation Home and rumble controller not available until 2008; a USB port on the back would've been nice; no infrared port means non-Bluetooth universal remotes aren't compatible; glossy black finish is a fingerprint everywhere; online gaming, media, and commerce options not nearly as developed as Xbox Live and it’s a little on the pricey side.
Overall, if you love you PS1 PS2 and PSP or if you’re a gamer of any kind, you’re going to love the PS3. This would have to be the ultimate Christmas gift idea.
This is Outter Control Nik, wishing you all a safe and happy holidays.

Day # 2, Nintendo DS

Here’s one that all the kids and teens can enjoy. It’s the Nintendo DS; the DS brings multiple features together to deliver cutting-edge games for fans of every genre. Pit your wits and test your skills against other players everywhere from the other side of the room to the other side of the world. A great library of games means there's something for everyone. Nintendo DS revolutionizes handheld game-play. With two ultra bright screens, 3D graphics, touch-screen technology and wireless communication, you can challenge yourself or your friends anywhere, at anytime.
The first thing you'll notice about the Nintendo DS Lite is how small it is. And then you'll notice how many amazing things it can do. Two ultra bright LCD screens give you twice the action, twice the color, twice the fun and twice as annoying, unlike other handheld consoles. With a built-in microphone, the Nintendo DS Lite gives you even more ways to interact with your favorite games and friends via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.
Use your stylus with PictoChat to create drawings and text messages to send to all your DS friends. You know, instead of using all those other text messaging devices. (NOTE: Nintendo DS Lite wireless communication, including PictoChat, is not private and is not monitored by Nintendo. It’s recommend that you never reveal any personal information or arrange to meet a stranger). PictoChat is local wireless only. You need to be within 30 feet of another system to communicate. Create a local wireless network of up to 16 players between 30 to 100 feet away. Plus, for some titles, this feature requires just ONE Nintendo DS Game Card. Now you can take on all your friends at school, it’s just too bad that most school have band devices like this.

Nintendo DS Lite doesn’t just play DS games; it also features an additional port for Game Boy Advance Game Packs. Use the stereo headphone jack for the ultimate DS sound experience. Suddenly the action isn’t just in your hand it’s in your head! (If I had a dollar…) Nintendo DS has rich, stereo speakers that pump out virtual surround sound that takes you right to the heart of the game.
Overall, this is a great portable gaming device that everyone can enjoy. This is a must have Christmas gift.

Don’t wait, time is running out. And so is the stock of our next gift idea,The NEW Simpsons Game. The Simpsons game features a hilarious, and mind-busting storyline crafted by the TV show’s Emmy Award-winning writers. To reprise their roles, the characters in The Simpsons Game sound exactly as they should, to lend the ultimate in authenticity and realism to the game. In The Simpsons Game, you can play as all your favorite characters as you battle to save them from video-game purgatory. Homer, Marge, Bart, and Lisa use exciting, all-new powers to save the world from rising chaos. To help the Simpsons, gamers at home must journey through all of Springfield (as well as vast worlds beyond!), vanquish an amazing array of villains, and fight their way through parodies of multiple popular games.
It’s the Real Deal: Just like you want the game to sound like the show, you also want it to look like the show. Using innovative 3D into 2D technology, it does! Add in a huge cast of Simpsons’ folks and an amazing level of interactivity and you’ve got a Simpsons experience like no other. Now unlike the Simpsons on TV, the Simpsons family has been given special video game powers! Day # 5: The Nokia N95 8GB

We’re back with Day # 5, in the last minute Christmas gift ideas. Today we take a look at what’s new from Nokia. It’s the new Nokia N95 8GB. This is an updated version of the best-selling original N95 and yes it my look a lot like the original N95, but the color isn’t the only thing that’s change on the phone. There are a few serious changes to it that make it a significantly better mobile phone than its predecessor.
Starting with a larger screen than the other one, you will really enjoy viewing the content on the N95 8GB. Watching videos and browsing the Web. The navigation keys at the bottom of the screen, although smaller, seemed so much easier to use. The N95 8Gb got rid of that somewhat pointless media menu that comes up when you slide the original N95 down, you can navigate the 8GB's start page normally. Overall, the interface is far snappier to use and its boot-up time was far quicker. (This is because it now has a 128MB of ram, were the original N95 only had 64MB). At first the double slider thing was a cool feature. But it may have been better off without it, when you're pulling it in and out of your pocket the slider mechanism can move up and down, activating the phone. Which we all know, is not so good.
The Nokia N95 8GB has (obviously) 8GB which means that you fit a lot more of your Photos, Music, and Videos, which you will be using at some point of time, due to it having a 5 megapixel camera, the video quality has improved since the N95, this makes the filming of videos at lot better, due to its higher frame rate per second.
The other great part of the Nokia N95 8GB, is its GPS navigator. It uses Nokia’s own mapping software that you have to download yourself; you can also use Google Maps. You are also able to receive Voice Navigation, but it will cost you more, it also users up more of your phones memory. The games on the N95 8GB is also a lot better, however it only comes with 2 games on it. This is by far the best phone to come out of Nokia, If not one of the best phones out there. This is a must have gift.

Transformers "I bought a car.” (That just so happened), “Turned out to be an alien robot. Who knew?" deadpans Sam Witwicky, hero and human heart of Michael Bay's rollicking robot-smackdown fest, Transformers. Witwicky (the sweetly nerdy Shia LaBeouf, channeling a young John Cusack) is the perfect counterpoint to the nearly nonstop exhilarating action. The plot is simple: an alien civil war (the Autobots vs. the evil Decepticons) has spilled onto Earth, and young Sam is caught in the fray by his newly purchased souped-up Camaro. Which has a mind and identity, as a noble-warrior robot named Bumblebee, of its own. The effects, especially the mind-blowing transformations of the robots into their earthly forms and back again, are stellar. It comes Widescreen, Language are in English. Fans of the earlier film and TV series will be thrilled at this cutting-edge incarnation, and if you weren’t a fan of the show already. This want make difference, but it doesn’t matter, because you’ll love this one.
NBC’s HEROES Season One: Once every few years, a life changing event comes along. An event that can change your life and maybe history itself and this is one of those times. The world is changing in an incredible rate; people are changing, life as we now know it may never be the same. Man’s genetic code is changing as we speak, it’s said that man only uses up to 10% of his bran at any given time. 1% more, and he could become an extraordinary being, develop amazing power, he could become, somewhat of a god. The fate of humanity itself, hangs in the balance. It’s the first Season of NBC’s HEROES, and its jammed packed with nearly 3 hours of bonus features including behind the scenes footage, 50 deleted scenes and the never before aired 73-minute pilot episode. It also has fun games that can read your mind, “spooky.” Plus footage of the Special Effects, the Stunts and Audio Commentaries with Cast, Crew and the show Creator Tim Kring, and much more…
This DVD box set comes with seven discs; the US release comes in a cool case that folds out, with the back coved in some of the paintings from Isaac’s loft (the character that can paint the future.) The DVD also has 50 deleted scenes (That I think should have been left in the show) that help make some more sense with the storyline. It also has a cool game that can read your mind, it pretty freaky, and it gets it right every time I’ve play it. Even though I know how it works, it’s still kind of freaky. This is a must get DVD, so if you’re into sci-fi’s, or if you just love a great drama or a show with a lot of action, this one is for you. I love it, know you will too.

DAY # 8, Sony PSP:

Its Day # 8, in the last minute Christmas gift idea, today we’re going to take a look at some that’s fun for everyone of all ages. It’s the PSP (PlayStations Portable) If you’re planning on going away this Christmas or New Year, and planning on traveling a long distance, then the PSP is a must have gift. The PSP is a multi function media (and most important) gaming center. It’s the ultimate handheld gaming system; at the heart of the PSP is a new media format known as the Universal Media Disc, or UMD. Each UMD can hold 1.8 GB of data, enough room for rich and complex games. UMDs, (which are housed in a protective cover), slide into the rear of the PSP. Kind of like the old cartages. Sony has declared the UMD an open format for developers and media content owners, so Movies, Music, MP3 and MP4 downloading capabilities. The PSP's also comes with a 333 MHz processor that dwarfs the speed of competing handheld consoles. Add this polygon-pushing muscle to 4 MB of fast DRAM and 32 MB of embedded RAM, and you've got a device with graphics rendering capabilities close to that of the PlayStation2. And because no game is complete without audio, the PSP is generously appointed with built-in stereo speakers, as well Dolby Digital 7.1 surround sound capability. Sony has also pulled out all the stops with the PSP display. The bright, 4.3-inch LCD sports a 16:9 aspect ratio and 480 x 272 pixel resolution--plenty of real estate for heavy gaming action and widescreen-format movies. All of this is powered by a removable, and rechargeable, lithium-ion battery.
Memory Stick™ Play movie/video saved on a Memory Stick Duo™. This icon will appear only when a Memory Stick Duo™ slot is inserted. With Memory Stick Duo media, you can store your saved games, downloaded online content, personal video and audio files, and more. When you want access to these files from your PC, simply use the PSP's USB 2.0 port to turn the device into a fast portable media drive. Then, drag and drop files such as your photos, MP3s, and videos onto the PSP, just as you would any other removable storage device. The PSP ships with a 32 MB Memory Stick Duo and additional media with higher storage capacities are available.
Now if you’re worried about the controls from its perspective, the PSP is made for gaming. If you're familiar with a PlayStation controller, you'll be a pro at the PSP's controls in no time. Directional buttons, as well as an analog stick are provided. Meanwhile, the familiar left and right shoulder buttons, as well as triangle, circle, cross and square buttons are integrated into the device's slim case. Finally, home, select, and start buttons give you quick access and control over the PSP's important functions.
The PSP's ability to connect to the internet, and to other PSPs and USB-based peripherals, is a real advantage. Its Wi-fi connectivity (or IEEE 801.11b), Use this wireless internet standard to connect to other gamers around the world for hot multiplayer action--all from your couch, or your local Wi-fi hotspot. As mentioned, the PSP's USB 2.0 port is great for PC connectivity, but it also opens the PSP up for a whole range of future peripherals. Sony has plans for the PSP in other ways, too; the unit's infrared port speaks of remote control capabilities in the near future.
What's in the Box
PSP device, AC adapter, battery pack, 32 MB Memory Stick Duo, ear-bud headphones with remote control, soft case and hand strap. (Items may very).
The only down sides to the PSP, its glossy finish may look good, but except to be cleaning it a lot, you will leave finger prints. And when it comes to Memory Stick, it can end up costing you more the PSP itself. Overall, this is a must get gift.

Now there are a lot of iPod docking stations out there, but very few of them can compete and capture with the same level of presence in a room like the mStation 2.1 Stereo Tower. Day #11: Nintendo Wii
It's Day #11 of the last minute Christmas gift ideas, and today is the Nintendo Wii, that’s right, it’s gaming time. Okay yes, it may be last year’s best selling gift along with the Xbox 360. But the not so high graphic game console, is the most demanded in the U.S.A. and is proving that you don’t always have to look good to satisfy someone. Being the cheapest gaming console out of the Xbox and the Play Station 3, the Wii will have you up out of your sets, and moving around like you’re actually in the game. That’s right, all you fatties are going to have to get up off that Lazy Boy, and move around.
Featuring a compact design that makes it a natural addition to any television setup, the Wii console is white in color and can be displayed either vertically or horizontally. The Wii is backward-compatible to all Nintendo GameCube games and includes four Wii Remotes can communicate with Wii, which features a bay for an SD memory card. So you and all your friends can battle it out against each other. It has an AV Multi-output port for component, composite or S-video. The size you may ask? Is about 8.5 inches long, 6 inches wide and less than 2 inches thick, (roughly the size of 3 DVD cases stacked on top of each other). Now to the sizes of the Wii…
The Wii console communicates wirelessly with the Internet via wireless or a Wii LAN adaptor. Wii also can connect wirelessly with Nintendo DS. Nintendo fused the familiarity of a remote control with the sophistication of motion-sensing technology to come up with an input device for the ages! Sporting the size of a traditional remote control, the wireless Wii Remote is a multi-functional device that is limited only by the game designer's imagination. In a tennis game, it serves as your racket you swing with your arm. In a driving game, it serves as your steering wheel. For first-person shooters, the Wii Remote acts as your weapon that you point at an enemy. The list of potential uses goes on and on. I hate to think of how it would be used in the Playboy game. We should be thankful that one’s not on the Wii… yet. In addition to its pointing and motion-sensing abilities, the Wii Remote also includes a speaker, rumble feature and expansion port for additional input devices, such as the Nunchuk. Now you can also get the Classic Controller that allows you to play classic games available through the Wii Shop Channel with ease. (Note that this controller is sold separately).
Choose the Wii and Virtual Console games played by your child based on the game's ESRB rating. Access additional parental control options if you connect your Wii console to the Internet. And bypass parental controls with a PIN code, thereby allowing you to access the games and content that you would like to play. Parental controls for the Wii and Virtual Console games are based on the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) game ratings categories. (Please note that Nintendo does not sell or license games that carry the ESRB rating Adults only). So the parental control useless.
Enjoy games such as: ‘Super Mario Galaxy’, ‘Donkey Kong: Barrel Blast.’ Play Tennis, Baseball, Golf, Bowling and Boxing on the game, ‘Wii Sports’ and go head to head in ‘Mario and Sonic: at the Olympic Games.’
Overall, this is a fun one for the whole family.

YUUGUU:
What is it you may ask; well it’s a great way to share your file and images on your computer with others anywhere around the world. It’s an easy to use program, which you can use to help show other people how to do things on their computer right from your own home. You can work from home, or wherever you want, and still interact with your colleagues as though you're sitting right next to them. You can also work together on documents and applications remotely, without having to load anything up to the web, or create a new 'online' only document. You can use the tools and applications you use now! Start an instant online meeting with any number of people for free. It's really easy to use for everyone involved, and you can even all work together in real time on the documents or applications you're looking at. It even fully integrated global conference bridge, to make life even easier!
You can remotely control another computer. (Only if you've been given permission to do so). So you can control a Mac from a PC and vice versa! Great for helping your friends, family, customers or older loved ones with any technology problems.
Another cool thing you can do with Yuuguu, is if you want to show your friends those new photos you took while you were out last night or from a recent road trip or holiday. With one click you can, In fact you can show anything to anyone, and it’s free!
Yuuguu is really nice to your computer. For a start it works on PC's and Macs. In fact it’s so nice that provided you can save a file on your computer and access the Internet, Yuuguu will work for you. It's easy to get started, just enter your email address to register and you will be sent a password. If you've been invited in you'll already have a password sent to you in an email. Just type this in, and you’ll be good to go.
If you would like to build your own private network of contacts. You can! You just need to know the other people's emails address. You can then add them to your contact list. Just like an e-mail account, or FaceBook. If they aren't already on Yuuguu, your friend, family or customers will be sent a really nice email asking if they'll join.
Now you can also see whether your friends and colleagues are around, you can chat with them one on one or in groups if you like. Instantly show them what you are looking at on your computer, let them move your mouse and use your keyboard as though they were sitting right next to you, and easily start a conference call together.
Oh, and you can just bring people into your conversation as easily as clicking a button, (which is what you’ll have to do) and then they can see and hear what you do! It's too easy.
Sometimes not everyone can download Yuuguu, but that's okay! You can share what you're doing with anyone from around the whole world. All people need is a computer, a browser and an internet connection, and then you can work and play together just as if they are in your computer. (They won't be able to show you what they are looking at, but you can do everything else!)
To finish off, this is great program for shearing files or helping others with using their computers and the best part is, it FREE! The only thing I would suggest is not to have anything on your computer that you may not want anyone eles to see…. : ) for more info you can go to www.yuuguu.com
