What is Homepage Startup you ask? It’s an easy way to get around the net and view your favorite websites. So if you find it hard or you’re getting tired of trying to read the small print and the tiny icons that go with them in your bookmarks, then this site is for you. It has a cool new way of accessing your favorite sites. Instead of listing them in the standard bookmark fashion, they are placed in a box that shows part of the website itself, it’s easy to do, and it looks cool too, it great for kids and for older people that find it hard to see (or read) the smaller text, or if you just want something different.
It works by letting you save up to 12 or more boxes, and linking them to your home page for a quick and easy access to your most used or favorite websites. Now you start with 12 boxes, and you can add more, or as many as you need as you go along. You can do this by customizing your account. You will need to make an account to do this, otherwise it’s pretty straight forward.
Organizing your websites is easily done by placing them under tabs; each tab can be given its own name. Now to add the websites is simple, just click on the box and fill in the websites title and its address, then click ‘SAVE’. You can move the boxes around, just click and hold onto the box you want to move, and then drag it to the space you want it in.
You can continue using Homepage without making an account, but you will be limited to 12 websites (boxes.) All customizations and tabs will be unavailable to those without an account. So yes, that’s another user name and password you’re going to have to try and remember and add to that growing list.
Another cool feature is that you can search for information directly from your home page. They have a collection of search engines you can choose from including the ever so popular Google, Yahoo and Wikipedia, just to name some. You can also put your own, by suggesting it to the sites host.
Now if you want to share it with friends and family to see, or use the pages that you have selected. You can do so by linking them to your Homepage. Just make sure that you have your page set for public. Again you must have an account to do this. This is a great site for all, its fun easy to and quick to use and plus it’s Free! To start, just go to homepagestartup.com, Enjoy!

Homepage Startup looks amazing, but for some reason I can't even register. When i mouse over register(or login), the info line on the bottom of my safari page says "go to # on this page", whatever that means, just adds a "#" to the url, and does nothing. I can't set up websites in the boxes either, only move the boxes around. What's going on? is my mac too old? G4, os10.3.9, safari 1.3.2
